Trust

Last week was my birthday and we celebrated with dinner out as a family, like we usually do. I usually don't want or ask for anything for my birthday, but this year was a little different.
For a while now I've been wanting a wrist tattoo, I just was never sure what I wanted it to be of, but after several things that happened to me this year I knew exactly what I wanted it to be.
In addition to my new tattoo, I had this foot tattoo touched up. It has been well over 10 years since I had this one done and it has had plenty of sun exposure so it really needed a touch up.
This the wrist tattoo I got.
"Trust without borders".
A simple phrase that means so much to me. When things don't go as planned, I trust that His plans are always better than mine. I trust that things happen for me, not to me.

The Year Before 30

This past Thursday was my 29th birthday.  I spent a relaxing day with my husband in Delray Beach.  It went something like this:  breakfast, massage, salt glow scrub, facial, manicure, site seeing, and dinner.  Needless to say, it was a wonderful birthday.  I celebrated my birthday with my family in Corpus Christi this past weekend.  On Friday, we went to Bayfest.  I must say it just isn't quite as fun or large as it use to be.  It's sad when the farm animals are the highlight of the festival.

Saturday, we had a little lunch time get together with the family at my mom's house, specifically for my birthday.  Below are some of the highlights!

My sweet 8 year old cousin sang his version of happy birthday to me...it brought me to tears.  He is the sweetest boy with the biggest heart.

On Saturday, we also attended an unexpected wedding.

After the wedding festivities, Jeff and I decided to go to a local bar where my cousin works.  We had a blast!

On Sunday, before we left, I had lunch with my family and then we all headed to the cemetery to pay a visit to my grandmother.

It was a fun-filled weekend with the family and, as usual, there was never a dull moment!

We're definitely looking forward to spending this Thanksgiving in Corpus with my family!

Welcome to Cabo San Lucas!

For my 25th birthday I wanted to do something special, because after all, I was a quarter of a century old! So, what better place to spend such a special birthday but in Cabo San Lucas! This was gifted to me by none other than Mr. Jeff Cole.  It was definitely a birthday that I will never forget. The picture above was taken on my birthday at a restaurant off of the marina. Shortly after arriving there I was surprised to hear some Mariachi's singing. Yes, Jeff even planned that! He is a very thoughtful and spontaneous man. Thank you honey for such a wonderful birthday gift!
