A Day in the Life...

Today was an exceptionally busy day for us! Follow along as I recap our day.

7:45am- Mason woke up a little earlier than usual so I brought him down to my bed so we could rest in bed for a few more minutes before getting our day started.

8:18am- Finally out of bed and letting the dogs out.

8:36am- Breakfast is cooking.

8:45am- Breakfast is served for Mason and I.

9:10am- Breakfast is finished and the dogs are indicating that they need to go out, again!
This was his great escape. He always go out when I take the dogs, except he always wants to stay outside.

9:16am- Dishwasher loaded!

9:44am- Pushing play to get my daily workout in!

My little workout partner. They learn by what they see! Stay active!

10:24am- Workout done! It was a tough one, but I kept going and didn't quit!

11:06am- Time to do my wifely duties and clean the bathrooms. My least favorite thing to do, along with hanging clothes!

11:31am- Mason's bathroom is clean, now on to my bathroom!

12:07pm- Finally clean! Now to get lunch ready!

12:11pm- Lunch, but not before a complete meltdown because he wanted to take the Mac n' cheese out of the pantry. Oh brother!
1:03pm- Lunch is finished. Time to take the dogs out again.

12:50pm- Lunch is finished and Mason is down for his nap!

1:03pm- Time to take the dogs out again before I attempt to start getting dressed.

2:10pm- I'm finally dressed and I've got my shakeology ready for our drive to swimming lessons.

2:28pm- Awake, dressed, and ready for his swimming lessons.

2:32pm- And we're off!

3:00pm- Let the swimming lessons begin!

3:46pm- Lessons done. We had to rush home for the delivery and install of our long awaited for barn door.

4:51pm- Relaxing and waiting for the arrival of our door.

5:19pm- My husband got home just in time! It's finally here!

6:00pm- Trying to occupy this boys time while they install the door upstairs.

6:28pm- Dinner is served and it was oh so yummy! Healthy buffalo chicken bowl!

7:01pm- Still playing with my boy!

7:39pm- Door is finally installed and we love it!

7:50pm- Late bath time and bedtime tonight while they install the baby gate.

9:06pm- All cleaned up.

9:15pm - Mason is out for the night!

9:30pm- I get my lunch ready for the next day, empty and reload the dishwasher before heading to bed.

11:06pm- Finally in bed. I'm finishing up this post to get some shut eye because my 5:00am workout alarm will come way too early! I'm exhausted just recapping my day!

That's it for a Day in the Life....

A Day in the Life...

Wednesday, March 23, 2016
I'll start off by saying that my first part of the morning will have zero pics because it was WAY to early. Okay, let's just jump right into a day in our life....

6:30am-My husband so kindly woke me up to ask me where his arm brace was at. Because I'm supposed to know. I figured since I was awake I would take the dogs out. As of yesterday, Max has had a weak bladder. So weak that he is having to go out every hour. Talk about exhausting. It's related to the steroid shot that he got last week for his allergies.

6:45am-I went ahead went back to sleep since I knew Mason would be waking up by 8:00am.

8:00am-As predicted, I woke up to the sound of "mommy" coming from the monitor in Mason's room. I got up and brought him to my bed. He watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while I snoozed a little longer.

8:20am-I took the dogs out again. I knew Max was about ready to go any minute.

8:30am-I make breakfast for Mason and I.

9:15am-Mason played with his train in the kitchen while I unloaded and loaded the dishwasher.

As you can see the train progressively got longer.
He got the track out too!

11:30am- We are finally dressed. I served lunch to my little man right after this pic. His choice of mac n' cheese.
My outfit: GAP shirt//GAP frayed shorts//sandals (older Aldo's) similar shoes here

12:00pm-We finally made it out of the house.

12:15pm-He's out. This is normally his nap time, but sometimes he has to snooze in the car if we intend to get things done. It doesn't happen very often. I usually make our plans around his nap time.

12:45pm- We made it to Texas Tulips. We hung out in the car for about 15 minutes while I let Mason continue to sleep. More about our visit here one post back.

1:30pm-We left Texas Tulips and ran a few errands before we headed back home.

3:00pm-We made it back home and Mason wanted to play on his slide. My poor child loves being outside, and I can't wait until we are in our house so he can go out and play freely. This slide has gotten a little to small for him.  We will be getting him a much bigger play set when we get settled into our house. Luckily, the weather is still fluctuating between warm days and cold days, but we will be moving just as the weather will be warmer everyday.

6:37pm: I serve Mason's dinner and start cooking our dinner. Tonight is Mexican Zucchini and Beef. You can find the recipe here. It's perfect for clean eating.

7:02pm-Our dinner is still finishing up, but Mason is done and he wants cookies since he ate all of his dinner.

7:15pm-I'm finally eating my dinner. It's never uninterrupted. While I'm eating Mason repeatedly asks me "Are you finished?". He wants me to turn his train on.

7:23pm-I usually talk to my mom almost everyday, so I make time to FaceTime her while I eat my dinner.

7:38pm-Finally finished eating. Mason wanted me to play with his cars.

7:45pm-My husband made it home, but he had to go to our garage to find Mason's Easter basket. He needs it for his Spring Fling at school tomorrow.

8:35pm-Mason's teeth are brushed and he's all changed and ready for bed. Lately he's not been into reading books before bedtime. He would much rather play quietly with his cars or trains. Again, I can't wait until we move and all of his toys will be in the playroom. I do feel that having toys in his room has definitely interfered with our normal bedtime routine. It's been rough, but there just isn't anywhere to put all of his toys in an apartment. Anyway, he plays with a train before the lights go out. Some battles aren't worth fighting.

8:39pm-I see this pop up on my FB feed. At this point, I'm already giving Mason his 5 minute warming of the lights going out. It's way past his bedtime already.

8:47pm-Well, Mason didn't make in bed before the thunder started. He has never been afraid of thunder or rain, until our last major storm last month. He was at school and the tornado sirens were going off. I guess they made them hide in the bathroom and it scared him. So here he was looking out the window. He was saying "It's thunder outside. We need to hide." I had to reassure him that all was well. He wanted to lay on the floor with his blanket and pillow, and me right next to him.

9:00pm-It didn't take him long to fall asleep despite the thunder.

9:04pm-I literally had just laid Mason in his bed when this alert happened. I'll be damned if I'm waking my son up who just fell asleep. I walked out of his room to watch the news.

9:16pm-This was on the news. Right in our location. Ugh!!! We watched as they said the circulation was no longer strongly developed. Oh, okay!

10:28pm-I'm finishing up this post. The hubs just said goodnight. I'm about to put a load of clothes on the washer, and take the dogs out one last time before I head off to bed.

Nighty, night y'all!
