This past weekend we headed out on our annual family trip to Concan, TX. This year looked a little different for us. We usually are some of the first people to get there and get settled before everyone else shows up, but with living so far away now that wasn't going to happen. The trip started out terrible, and by terrible I mean delayed flights, sitting on a runway for hours after sitting on the plane due to a diversion, another delayed flight finally resulting in a cancelled connecting flight. You get the point of just how terrible it was, and it only got worse. 

8th Annual Family Reunion

Every year for the past 8 years our family has spent Labor Day weekend together out in the Hill Country of Concan, TX. We've seen people come and go from our group. Every year always looks a little bit different, whether it be the new person, kid, or house, but that is what makes it fun and exciting. 

Annual Family Getaway

This past weekend we had our 6th Annual Family Getaway to the hill country in Concan, TX. We go every year and it's always fun, well except for around 10pm or later when everyone is drunk and you're trying to get your toddler to sleep but it's SO loud, ha! 

5th Annual Concan Reunion

This is our 5th year of going to Concan for our family reunions. Every year that we go we have a great time. Obviously since have a kid my definition of a great time has changed. I don't stay up as late, and I don't drink, but I still have fun. Mason really enjoyed it this year. He loves being outdoors so he was in his element. We always rent a house every year, and we've never rented the same house for various reasons. This year we couldn't find a single house that was available to fit everyone, so we had to rent 3 cabins/houses. We were further out from town than we liked, but we had direct access to the river. I'm already looking forward to next year.
