Happy 8 Months...

Monday, July 7, 2014
Lil' Mason Grey,

Eight months...what?! What happened to my baby?! I cannot believe that I'm already beginning to look at party ideas for your 1st Birthday!

This month you got your 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th tooth, and you have 1 more coming in that I can see. Ouch! Thankfully all of this teething doesn't seem to be bothering you at all. You are pulling up and standing a lot more!  I am in no rush for you to walk so just go ahead and take your sweet time. Once you start walking, you'll never stop and it will be a whole new ball game. You are now mimicking sounds like crazy, including clicking your tongue! Hmmm, what will you say first mama or dada? I bet it will be dada. You sure do love your fun dad!

You're drinking 6 ounces twice a day, every 4 hours, while at day care, and are being fed 3 times a day with a morning and afternoon snack. You are also nursing every 4 hours when momma is with you. You're growing up so much, that it's time to introduce you to regular foods. So far you love pasta and anything with cheese, including macaroni and cheese.

You go to bed at 8:30pm and nap from 9:00-10:00 am, 12:00-3:00pm and 5:00-6:00pm. Lately when we put you down for bed, you'd much rather stand than lay and sleep. You'll usually stand for about 10 minutes before you decide to lay down. I don't blame you, you have a lot to learn and see!

Some firsts for you this month: 4th of July, golf cart ride, and real foods

Happy 7 Months...

Saturday, June 7, 2014
My little Mason,

Here we are a 7 months! You are now closer to 1 and getting bigger and bigger. You're reaching more milestones, learning new things, and developing more and more.

It's getting harder and harder to get monthly pictures of you sitting in your chair, because you are constantly on the go!

Your schedule as far as drinking is still the same: 6 ounces twice a day, every 4 hours, while at day care, and are being fed 3 times a day with a morning and afternoon snack. You are also nursing every 4 hours on the weekends. You get nursed in the morning before daycare, when we get home after daycare, and just before mommy leaves for work. You like your rice cereal now, especially if I mix it with vegetables. This month you have tried sweet potatoes, and you've moved on to fruit. You don't like the fruit very much, I think it may be too tart for you, but we'll keep trying. You still love all of your vegetables though.

You officially have slept through the night for 2 nights in a row. You very much need your sleep (we do to), so we are glad that you are sleeping more at night. You still going to bed at 8:30pm and napping from 9:00-10:00 am, 12:00-3:00pm and 5:00-6:00pm.

Some firsts for you this month: Pool Time, Mother's Day, Sitting in Shopping cart, and Airplane Ride

You're second tooth finally broke thru (right next to your first)! You officially have your two front lower teeth! When you got your first tooth mommy was a little sad that you were loosing your gummy smile that I love so much, but growing you must do! Please, slow it down a little!

Happy 5 Months...

Monday, April 7, 2014
Baby Boy,

This month you're 5 months and next month you'll celebrate your half birthday!! I know I constantly repeat myself, but time is going by far too quickly. I feel like it's just passing me by. You seem to learn to do something new daily.

We've discovered that you have a tickle spot on your belly. You laugh and laugh when we tickle you...it's the cutest thing ever. You're beginning to scoot and spin on your tummy during tummy time. You're almost completely sitting up by yourself. I think by next month you'll have it down. You squeal and talk loudly, especially when you're excited. You smile all of the time. You love attention and you love your exersaucer that your grandma bought you. You sure do love your daddy! You light up every time he walks into the room from work. You get so excited and just smile! It's the cutest and sweetest thing ever.

You're eating 6 ounces twice a day while at day care, since you are being fed every 4 hours. You are also nursing every 4 hours on the weekends. You get nursed in the morning before daycare, when we get home after daycare, and just before mommy leaves for work. You tried rice cereal for the first time. You weren't quite sure what to think of it, but you ate some of it. We'll just keep trying until you are completely ready for it.

Your daddy now has a nighttime routine with you and he's successfully got you to fall asleep on your own. We've transitioned you to your pack 'n play, but you still don't like to sleep in it for long. Your dad usually has you in our bed by the time I get home at night. You still going to bed at 8:30pm and napping from 9:00-10:00 am, 12:00-3:00pm and 5:00-6:00pm.

Some firsts for you this month: St. Patrick's Day, Taste of Rice Cereal, Child Dedication

Mason, I love you more than words can express! You make my heart so full!

Happy 4 Months...

Friday, March 7, 2014
Sweetest Mason,

Where has the time gone?! This month you're four months old and time is going by too quickly. I still can't believe how much you change every day, and how much you've changed since we first brought you home.

You've discovered your feet, fingers and arms. You grab your feet all the time. Recently you started to run your fingers up and down your own arm, as well as play with your fingers by touching your finger tips together. You are also giggling now and blowing bubbles. You really love to giggle for your daddy! I agree he is a pretty funny guy!

You still don't have any teeth, but you're still drooling like crazy. Mommy got you some fashionable bibdanas that look cute since you must wear a bib. You're loving Sophie the giraffe...you love chewing on her legs.

You have been trying to sit up so much that mommy bought you a sit 'n play chair. It helps support you in front and back so you can have better control while sitting. You really seem to like this and prefer to be in it now than your rock 'n play.

You're eating 6 ounces twice a day since you are consistently being fed every 4 hours. You are also nursing every 4 hours on the weekends. You get nursed in the morning before I leave to work, when we get home after daycare and work, and last before you go to bed for the night. Just when you were getting used to our schedule, mommy stepped down from her leadership position at work due to school. You've adjusted well with daddy putting you to bed at night, with a bottle instead of being nursed. You're now going to bed at 8:30pm. You're napping better since you are at a new daycare now. You consistently nap at 9:00-10:00 am, 12:00-3:00pm and 5:00-6:00pm.

Some firsts for you this month: Went to church with mommy and daddy, Valentine's Day, First Day of Daycare

I'm so thankful that you are an easy going baby, because with mommy's crazy schedule you have to be.

XOXO,
Mommy
